I seriously LOVE it!!! I'm having fun playing with all of the cool apps and I've even downloaded a Dexter episode to it! Cool!

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas this year be it an iphone or a new job. Either way I hope it was Merry!

Free mini purse sewing pattern!

I just ran across this great blog post at with a free mini purse pattern.

They are so cute! You can make a puffy or flat version and can make them from fabric scraps you have lying around.
If I can get my hands on the mini purse frames I'm going to attempt to make a few for christmas gifts.

To get in on the fun my Etsy shop will have a 12 day sale starting the day after Thanksgiving.  It will be BOGO 25% off, so buy one item get the second item 25% off anything in the store.

Be sure to check out all the wonderful creative shops on my Etsy team and their BOGO deals!  Just search knetteam from the etsy search bar.

New Jewelry Items in my Shop!

These necklaces were inspired by glass marbles that I baked to give them the lovely crackled appearance.

This necklace was inspired by my own necklace I made for the wedding.  I had two of the pretty leaf brooches so I made an extra necklace for the shop.

Wedding Jewelry for my Maid of Honor

One glance at this blog and it's not hard to tell that I love making jewelry.  So it was really a no-brainer that I was going to make all the jewelry for my wedding.

That includes my bridal jewelry, my maid of honor's jewelry, and jewelry for my female helpers. (We only have one attendant apiece.)

I don't have all of my bridal jewelry photographed but here's my maid of honor's jewelry I made for the occasion.

Custom Scrabble Tile Pendants

Here's two scrabble tile pendants I made custom for a friend.  She is going to wear them as a "mother's necklace".  Each letter is the first initial of one of her children.  What a super cute idea!

I've decided to offer to make these for my regular customers also.  They would make an excellent christmas present!

These pendants are made from upcycled vintage wooden scrabble tiles that I have cleaned and coated for a shiny finish and attached a silver bail to thread your necklace through.

First Peek! New Upcycled Vintage Brooch Necklace

My new jewelry passion is taking vintage brooches and turning them into necklaces. I really love this new pendant.

The pendant is made from a fabulous Scottish heart shaped Miracle brooch, also known as ' luckenbooth' brooch, with turquoise colored center stone and a crown set top. I removed the pin backing and filed down the sharp edges. I then attached the brooch to the metal chain with two jump rings.

Luckenbooth brooches are often given at weddings and engagements as tokens of love.

In Scotland from the eighteenth century onwards small plain heart shaped brooches were worn to protect against evil spirits, the evil eye or the attention of the fairies.

The chain measures approximately 16 inches
The pendant is approximately 1 1/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches

First Look for my followers!! New Filigree Earrings!

Here's a first look at the new earrings I've made! They have not been listed in my Etsy shop yet because I wanted my blog followers to get the first peek! Enjoy!
