Japanese Furoshiki Gift Wrapping Technique

I stumbled upon this video the other day while looking for creative gift wrapping ideas. It's called furoshiki. Originating from the Japanese culture where it promotes caring for the environment and reducing waste; Furoshiki is eco-friendly wrapping. Using techniques similar to origami, it can be used for gift wrapping, grocery shopping or simply as decor. Check it out!

Handmade jewelry wall hangers on Etsy

My Mom was just complaining that her jewelry box is too small and she can't find the necklaces she wants or they are getting tangled together in the jewelry box she has.

Being the Etsy afficianado that I am I set to work to find just the thing! Check out these fab handmade jewelry holders I came across

I love the diversity and creativity that can be found on Etsy and these jewelry holders are a great example of the beautiful craftmanship that the artists put into every piece.  Enjoy!  Maybe my mom will find something she likes!

Oh and if you need any jewelry to hang on your new jewelry holder check out my handmade jewelry shop here.  ;)

Monster Jam!!

I'm getting ready to go to my first monster truck show!  Huge trucks with colorful names like "grave digger" driving over regular size cars and jumping off ramps!  Sounds redneck?  You betcha!  I can't wait!  There's a chance for thunderstorms so I'm doing my "no rain" dance! lol!  I'll be sure to get some good pics for y'all who don't have the pleasure of a good monster truck rally in you area! ;)
